Cumbria Police say they believe that the woman who went missing at about 7am from the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, is now in the Lancashire area.

The Highways Agency is reporting an accident on the M6 northbound between junctions 35 (Carnforth) and 36 (the A590 link). No further details currently available.

Heavy traffic is being reported on the A596 Washington Street in Workington. It is busy at the junction with B5297 Jane Street.

Cockermouth District Chamber of Trade will host a visit by experts from Google on Friday, Feb 7. The Google Juice Bar event will take place in The Saints Rooms, Church Went, Kirkgate, Cockermouth, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. More info - and booking details - are here It's only the second Juice Bar in Cumbria and the first in the west of the county.

A woman has gone missing from the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. Police say her name is unknown but she is described as being white and of average build, and being in her mid-to-late twenties. She has dark collar-length hair and it is thought she is wearing a green jumper, black trousers and calf-length zip-up black boots. She disappeared at about 7am this morning and police believe she has access to a car. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.

The trial of garden centre boss Thomas Hayes, 46, has been adjourned and will resume with a new jury. Kendal resident Hayes, owner of Hayes Garden World of Ambleside, is accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice along with Derek Henderson, 58, of Woodbank Terrace, Endmoor. The pair are accused of lying about who was driving a Porsche involved in a crash. The trial will resume at a later date.

On the trains, Northern Rail is reporting no incidents or problems on its services locally. Virgin Trains is also saying that everything is hunky dory on its routes as well..

Got a couple of things for the M6, one lane is closed between junction 40 (Penrith) and junction 39 (Shap) because of an 'obstruction'. There was a report it was a dead deer.
And barrier repairs are continuing between j39 and j40. One is closed as a result.
