Cockermouth District Chamber of Trade will host a visit by experts from Google on Friday, Feb 7. The Google Juice Bar event will take place in The Saints Rooms, Church Went, Kirkgate, Cockermouth, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. More info - and booking details - are here It's only the second Juice Bar in Cumbria and the first in the west of the county.

A woman has gone missing from the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. Police say her name is unknown but she is described as being white and of average build, and being in her mid-to-late twenties. She has dark collar-length hair and it is thought she is wearing a green jumper, black trousers and calf-length zip-up black boots. She disappeared at about 7am this morning and police believe she has access to a car. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.

The trial of garden centre boss Thomas Hayes, 46, has been adjourned and will resume with a new jury. Kendal resident Hayes, owner of Hayes Garden World of Ambleside, is accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice along with Derek Henderson, 58, of Woodbank Terrace, Endmoor. The pair are accused of lying about who was driving a Porsche involved in a crash. The trial will resume at a later date.
